Lotus Notes TravelerがiPhone対応

自分のiPhoneからどうやってNotesのカレンダーやToDoを見せようかと思っていたら、DominoKey.comにこんなエントリー発見。

Brent Peters just announced that activesync for Lotus Notes Traveler will beta in May/release late Q3 2009 during LotusUserGroup.org webcast

Brent Petersとは、Notes/Domino開発トップの人だ。この間まで日本に来ていたらしい。本人自身も、こんなエントリーをポストしていた。

One of the demos that we showed at Lotusphere was the ActiveSync support. Erich Petersen from the Raleigh Mobile development gave a demo of the iPhone work. We didn't specifically make announcement around the iPhone per se, BUT, we are looking at getting this into plan as soon as possible. Obviously one of the most important devices that we will need to consider this for would be the iPhone, as there are a large number of customer/bp requests.

Lotusphere行ったけど、知らなかったなぁ。どこでやっていたんだ？

Lotus Notes Travelerは、よく誤解されるのだが、Traveler自身のバージョン番号があって、Travelerをインストール可能なDominoサーバーのバージョンとは必ずしも一致しない。例えば、Traveler 8.0.1はLotus Domino 8.0.1または8.0.2に導入可能というように。だから、Q3(=3rd Quarter=第三四半期)に出すというのは、多分、Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.1とかで出てきて、Lotus Domino 8.5や8.5.1で稼動するんじゃないかな？

ベータが5月ならば、それを待つか。同期ツールを作っている時間もないしなぁ。作りたいけど。
